PhysLab

Terms

There is a free plan, it is provided as it is, and your work is yours. The longer version follows, and it is still short.

Your work is yours

Everything you make here — experiments, data, graphs and write-ups — belongs to you. No claim is made over any of it. It never arrives anywhere a claim could be made.

It is provided as it is

PhysLab is offered with no warranty of any kind, on the free plan and the paid ones alike. The physics is tested against textbook results and the numbers are meant to be right, but no guarantee is made that any particular result is correct or suitable for any particular purpose — check it, the way you would check any measurement. If a result matters, it is yours to verify.

It may change or become unavailable without notice. Your experiments, data and write-ups are stored in your own browser rather than here, so that cannot take them with it. Either way it is a good reason to export anything you would be sorry to lose.

Academic honesty

The lab partner is built to help you think, and it is instructed not to write your report. Whether simulated data and AI assistance are acceptable for a particular piece of assessed work is a question for your teacher or your examination board, not for this page. Ask them first.

The AI accounts you connect

If you connect an account with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI or OpenRouter, your use of their models is governed by their terms and billed to you by them. This site is not a party to that, and never sees more of it than the question you asked.
